ACTIVE AND PASSIVE VOICE

 

Active & Passive Voices (Active & Passive Sentences

 1. Active Voice (Active Sentence) Active Voice is a sentence where the Subject says something or does something work described by Predicate and Object, for example: She calls Billy.

He called Billy.

2. He is playing football in the yard. He is playing football in the field. I have made a cake this morning I have made bread this morning. In the first sentence, she (she is a woman) is active or does something work, namely calls (to call), so is the case with he (he is a man) who does something that is playing (is playing) and also I (me) that did (make).

2. Passive Voice (Pasi Sentences) Passive Voice is a sentence whose subject is subjected to something work or suffer something, for example:

  - She is called by mother.

-He was called by mother. An elephant was killed by the hunter. An elephant was killed by poachers.

1. Subyek dalam Active Voice iubah menjadi Obyek dalam

elephan (gajah)menderita sesuatu yaitu killed(dibunuh)di, Active Voice dapat dijadikane Sesuatu yaitu killed (dibunuh assive Voice dengane Ketentuan sebagai berikut: emperhatikan Passive Voice.

2. Sebaliknya, Obyek dalam Active Voice dijadikan Subyek dalam Passive Voice.

3. Predikat dalam Passive Voice selalu terdiri dari :

To be + past participle

4 Pada Passive Voice berbentuk Continuous (kata kerja + ing, maka Predikatnya berbentuk:

To be + being + past participle

5. Dalam pemakaian to be, perhatikan hal-hal berikut:

a. Jika Active Voice berbentuk Simple Present Tense, maka to be yang digunakan adalah : is, am, are, i

Msalnya:

He hits me.

Dia memnukul saya.

I am hit by him.

Saya dipukul olehnya

Jika Active Voice berbentuk Simple Past Tense, maka to be yang digunakan adalah: was, were, misalnya :

She called me

I was called by her.

B. Jika Active Voice berbentuk Future Tense, maka to began jika  digunakan adalah: be, misalnya : 

They will give us money.

Mereka akan memberi kami uang.
